Changes in three teams for Big Bash

Melbourne, Dec 19 (IANS): The T20 Big Bash League (BBL) Technical Committee has approved changes to the Sydney Sixers, Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes squads, said Cricket Australia (CA) Thursday.

While Mitchell Starc continues his rehabilitation from injury, he will be replaced by 26-year-old New South Welshman Josh Lalor in Sydney Sixers.

James Faulkner also continues his rehabilitation from injury and will be replaced by 20-year-old Victorian James Muirhead in Melbourne Stars.

Ben Hilfenhaus has been ruled out due to injury for Hobart Hurricanes and will be replaced by 19-year-old South Australian Kelvin Smith.

Under the new BBL playing conditions for this season, Starc, Faulkner and Hilfenhaus will be able to resume their place in their squad if they recover from injury and are fit to resume playing duties before the end of the tournament.

The Big Bash League starts Friday night with the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) lighting up for the Big Melbourne Derby between the Renegades and Stars from 7.45 p.m.
