South Africa names unchanged Test squad

Durban, Dec 9 (IANS): South Africa Monday named the same 15-man squad that played against Pakistan to face India in the two match Test series beginning in Johannesburg Dec 18.

The first Test will be played at the Wanderers Stadium and the second at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead from Dec 26.

“We were very happy with the performance of the Proteas in the second Test match at Dubai,” said Cricket South Africa (CSA) selection convener Andrew Hudson, “and we see no need to change something that is operating well.”

South Africa squad: Graeme Smith (captain), Hashim Amla, AB de Villiers (wicketkeeper), JP Duminy, Faf du Plessis, Dean Elgar, Imran Tahir, Jacques Kallis, Rory Kleinveldt, Morne Morkel, Alviro Petersen, Robin Peterson, Vernon Philander, Dale Steyn, Thami Tsolekile (wicketkeeper).
