Aldridge gets 38 to lead Blazers past Thunder


Washington, Dec 5 (IANS): The Portland Trail Blazers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 111-104 with the help of 38 points and 13 rebounds from NBA All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge.

Nicolas Batum, who hit a key three-pointer with 29.9 seconds left in the final quarter, contributed 14 points Wednesday. Damian Lillard had 14 points and six assists, reports Xinhua.

It was the third straight victory for the Blazers, who stay on top in the Western Conference with a 16-3 record.

Kevin Durant had 33 points for the Thunder. Russell Westbrook added 21.
