Schalke's Dennis Aogo suffers knee injury


Berlin, Dec 1 (IANS): German Bundesliga football team Schalke 04 lost defender Dennis Aogo to a cruciate ligament rupture for the rest of the season, the club said in a statement.

Schalke's left back Dennis Aogo, who is on loan from Hamburg, suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in his right knee during Friday's training before the encounter against Stuttgart, reports Xinhua

The 26-year-old defender made ten games for Schalke this season. In addition, he made 12 cap with the German national soccer team.

It is another name on Schalke's injury list as Aogo is ruled out besides Klaas Jan Huntelaar, Marco Hoeger and Kyriakos Papadopoulos.

The Royal Blues climbed on fifth position with a win over Stuttgart and 24 points. Moreover, they encounter Basel in UEFA Champions League in an all-or-nothing clash in Group E.
