NBA: Pistons hand Nets 5th straight loss


Washington, Nov 25 (IANS): Detroit Pistons handed the Brooklyn Nets their fifth consecutive loss after beating the high-spending franchise 109-97 here on Sunday.

Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey scored a season-high 27 points. Greg Monroe had 18 points and 11 rebounds. Brandon Jennings added 14 points and 10 assists, reports Xinhua.

Joe Johnson hit eight three-pointers to score a personal season-high 34 points while Paul Pierce added 19.

The Nets fell down to 14th place in the Eastern Conference ranking after the loss.
