Kuwait, Apr 3: The Sharq United Club, Kuwait recently hosted its 4th cricket tournament, which was an invitational event participated by eight 6-a-side teams.

‘SU-Whites’ led by Arthur won the Caesars Trophy, whereas the Runners-Up were ‘SU-Reds’ led by Victor. SU-Blues; SU-Blacks; MCC-A; MCC-B, Kazema VI; and Dash VI were the other six participating teams.

Patrick Pinto, chairman and Alwyn Fernandes, vice president of Sharq United awarded trophies to the winning teams. Mahesh Prabhu, president, extended heartfelt thanks to Lawrence D’Souza and Ghazi Abdul Razzak of Caesars Group for their continued support to Sharq United ever since its inception in 1997 and particularly for sponsorship of this tourney.

‘ICS – A team’ Wins KITCO Ka-Ra-Ra Cricket Trophy

The Sharq United Club, Kuwait hosted its 5th cricket tournament on Friday, March 31 and this time participants were elated children of Indian schools in Kuwait.

In the triangular finals between Indian Central School – A team; Indian Central School – B team; and Carmel School team, the youngsters from ICS – A team won both their matches and along with that the coveted KITCO Ka-Ra-Ra Trophy as well. Carmel School won the 1st Runners-Up trophy and ICS – B team walked away with the 2nd Runners-Up trophy.

Based on the tremendous support received from all sides for this exclusive event, Sharq United management assured all the jubilant participants another inter-school tourney of a larger scale later this year. Finally, the executive committee of Sharq United expressed their sincere thanks to Gaurav Oberoi from KITCO for his kind support to organize this event.
