NBA: Celtics edge Heat with buzzer beater


Washington, Nov 10 (IANS): Boston Celtics edged NBA defending champions Miami Heat 111-110 courtesy a 0.6-second buzzer beater from Jeff Green.

Thanks to the victory Saturday night, Boston extended their winning streak to three, reports Xinhua.

Jeff Green scored 24 points for the Celtics. Avery Bradley added 17.

LeBron James kept Miam in the lead after making two free throws with 3.6 seconds left. Gerald Wallace's lay-up cut the deficit to two.

Dwayne Wade missed both of his free throws and the Celtics got 0.6 seconds for the last shot. Green made full use of the time, hitting a corner three-pointer to win the game.

James bagged 25 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists. Wade and Chris Bosh scored 18 and 20 points.
