Have to think about best XI for Mumbai: Sammy

Kolkata, Nov 8 (IANS): The innings and 51-run loss to India in the first cricket Test of Sachin Tendulkar's farewell series at the Eden Gardens here Friday has left West Indies skipper Darren Sammy pondering on what would be the best XI for the second and final Test of the two-match series in Mumbai beginning Nov 14.

The West Indies were beaten inside three days by a dominant and young Indian side.

Sammy admitted that none of the bowlers could complement offie Shane Shillingford, who got six for 167 in the first innings.

"I think credit must go to Shillingford, he bowled long long spells ... to bowl 50 overs is a lot. The other bowlers should have backed him up more, myself included. The combination is one we have used in the Caribbean but we'll see what the best XI for Mumbai is," said Sammy.

The West Indies captain rued the fact that they had India on the mat at 83 for five in the first innings, but let them get away.

"We get ourselves in good positions in Tests and then we give it away. Even when India were batting, we were in a good position at lunch yesterday and then we gave it away. Getting bowled out in 60-70 overs is not good. One of our goals was to bat at least 120 overs and we didn't do that," he said.
