Chinese lifter breaks record

Wroclaw (Poland), Oct 24 (IANS): Chinese lifter Liao Hui broke the men's 69 kg category world record with a total of 358 kg in the World Weightlifting Championships, eclipsing the former record by one kg.

The 2008 Beijing Olympics champion lifted 160 kg in snatch and 198 kg in clean and jerk. The former record was made by Bulgarian Galabin Boevski in 1999, reports Xinhua.
