Abu Dhabi, Mar 21: There are over 7000 members of the Beary community of South Kanara residing in the UAE.

A prominent community among the followers the Muslim faith, the Beary community, has a strong presence in the Middle East. There are more than 3,000 community residents in Abu Dhabi. Now they are eagerly waiting to meet each another at a family gathering scheduled to be held on March 30, 2006 in Al Qasr Ball Room Hotel Hilton, Abu Dhabi.

Officially known as Bearys Welfare Forum, Abu Dhabi, it is keenly engaged in community-beneficial activities for over a year, with around 300 registered members. now aiming at increasing its strength.

"Providing an umbrella organization to the Bearys of Abu Dhabi is one of the prime objectives of the forum," says Mohammed Uchil, president of the association and also a great supporter of daijiworld.com in Abu Dhabi

"So far we have been gathering occasionally at community outings, Iftar meetings and other community-related activities. But we certainly want extend our support beyond the barriers of the community and thus strive towards the developmental projects of coastal Karnataka," he says with enthusiasm.

"Initially we had planned a get-together of members and their families with a few  selected guests on January 26, 2006 in the Sheraton Hotel, Abu Dhabi, to coincide with India's 57th Republic day. Unfortunately, we had to postpone the programme in solidarity with the national mourning upon Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid's untimelydemise. Now we have rescheduled the get-together, which will now be held March 30 in  Al-Qasr Ball Room HotelHilton, Abu Dhabi. The gala evening will have a lot of entertainment programmes by children and adults.

Preparations are in full swing. The main objective of the get-together is to provide the members with an evening of laughter and fun to all the members and their families in a five-star ambience.

The programme also includes felicitation to two great philanthropists Dr B K Yusuf  of Mepha Pharmaceuticals and Zafarullah Khan Jamali of Bin Shafi Group, Dubai in recognition of their humble services to our community," said Uchil in his press release to daijiworld

Ambassador of India to the UAE C M Bhandari has kindly consented to be the chief guest. "Dr B R.Shetty whose presence is a great support for us has been so kind in accepting our invitation to be the guest of honour," adds Uchil.

A galaxy of VIP guests including Sudheer Shetty, COO U.A.E.Xchange Center, Global operations, Dr Viqar Azeem, Sarvotham Shetty, Siraj Ahmed, Sylvia Pais, Kaul, Principal Indian High School, Abu Dhabi, Thomas John, President ISC and others will grace the function.
