Bahrain, Mar 19: “Konkani Kutam” Bahrain will present a Konkani Cultural Extravaganza in association with Karnataka Social Club on May 18th 2006 at 7.30pm in Sacred Heart Church, Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium.

Melwyn Peres, The “Yodelling King” of Konkani Music will shift his charming and delightful “Sangeeth Ghar” for a day to Bahrain to display spectacular and exciting performance. Melwyn Peres who created a musical sensation in various singing competitions at the age of 7 has never looked back and carved out a unique “Yodelling Style” with distinct and unique quality of songs. He started composing  songs at the age of 16 and today he is a well accomplished artist to perform in 60 musical nites in India and Gulf countries with 31 audio cassettes and 19 volumes of CD’s to his credit. He is not only a composer and singer par excellence but also has excelled in the art of acting and as a renowned guitarist to display his illustrious talents in various fields.
 
Anitha Samson is a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Music from Sandesha Lalithkala Mahavidyalaya with 12 years rich experience in singing with all veteran musicians. She has performed with Wilfy Rebimbus, Henry D’souza, Mickmax, Claude D’souza, Mand Sobhan and other new composers of Kokani. She has sung for the Konkani Film “Padri” and Kannada Film “Nenapirali” to prove her majestic credentials. She is the main female singer for “Melwyn Peres Nites”.

The trio of Melwyn Almeida, Jerome Moras and Richard Sequeira who constitute the hilarious  comedy group “Memori” with proven expertise in the field are committed to mesmerize the audience with rib tickling comedy. We are sure the “Memori” Group will cement memorable bonding with the Konkani Loving People of Bahrain.
