Dubai, Mar 16:  It was a moment of deep shock to hear of the tragic and sad news of a young man Jossy Cardoza hailing from Taccode parish and working  in Dubai for the Mercedes company. He was married to  Rita Sequeira of Taccode on December 29, 2005 and was snatched by death in a very tragic accident Wedensday  near the seventh interchange on  Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai.

Jossy got out of his car to replace the punctured tyre and after doing so, was about to enter his car, when a car driven by local came in full speed and knocked him to death on the spot at around 5.30 p.m. UAE time.

Jossy, a talented and lively personality was widely popular with his friends and colleagues. He was actively involved in community activities and was an active member of Udentichem Neketram, an association of 12 parishes of Moodubidri varado.

This tragic  news has come as a rude shock to his family and friends who cannot come to terms with what happened in just a few seconds. News spread like wild fire amongst his large circle of family and friends who all loved him very dearly as he was endearing and loving in his ways.

Jossy’s bride Rita who enjoyed her marital bliss for barely two and half months is dazed beyond words and never did she dream that Jossy would be snatched away in such a cruel way.

Jossy leaves behind his sorrowing parents Cyril and Agnes Cardoza, brothers Melwyn and Prakash and only sister Sunitha (married to Cyril Baptist).

How ironical it is to know that just last night his brother-in-law Praveen Sequeira and himself  were chatting informally about death and while recalling this conversation Praveen who could not control his emotions burst into tears repeating the words of Jossy who said “Death comes without a warning…and there is no certain reason to die”. And true to his own statement, Jossy had no reason for death to come and snatch him away in the prime of his youth leaving all his loved ones to bear a huge and irreperable loss.

Funeral ceremony will be held in Dubai once the legal procedures are completed. Details of the funeral will be mentioned on this site once they have been finalized.
