Dubai, Mar 12: Holi is a joyous spring festival for Hindus.

In some parts of India, it is dedicated to Krishna; in some others to Kama, the God of Pleasure. People spray and throw coloured water or coloured powder in celebration.

All over the world, irrespective of religion, celebrate the festival of colour.

Dubai, a city of gold, affords every person the freedom to practise his or herr religions. We have seen the picture albums of the Nativity Feast (Monti Fest), Christmas, Easter celebrations etc from worldwide.

And now here is a rare opportunity to view the photographs of the Holi festivity, which was celebrated in Dubai on Friday, March 11, 2006.

Daijiworld reader Dinesh Kumar, who was part of the group while the Indian community celebrated Holi, intends to share the joy with our readers.
