Indian women hoopsters to train in China


New Delhi, Oct 7 (IANS): The Indian women's basketball team will undergo a training-cum-preparation camp in Dongguan Oct 15-25 where they will compete against various Chinese clubs.

The team is scheduled to participate at the 25th FIBA Asia Championship in Bangkok from Oct 27 to Nov 3 and are currently undergoing a training camp at Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Gandhinagar.

Head coach Francisco Garcia along with coach Abdul Hameed Khan will be leading the contingent to China.

The squad: S. Kokila, P. Anitha, Raspreet Sidhu, Saranjeet Kaur, Jeena P.S., Shireen Limaye, Stephy Nixon, Smruthi Radhakrishnan, Manisha Dange, Geethu Anna Jose, Prashanti Singh, Akanksha Singh.
