Qatar's Al Ahli signs Iran midfielder

Tehran, Oct 2 (IANS): Qatar football club Al Ahli has signed Iranian midfielder Mojtaba Jabbari.

He has joined the Qatari club until the end of the season but it did not elaborate further on the deal, reports Xinhua.

Wantaway Iran's Sepahan midfielder replaced German-Iranian Ferydoon Zandi in the Qatari club. Zandi suffered a broken leg Saturday during a match against Meather in Qatar Stars League.

Jabbari made a move from Esteghlal to Sepahan in early July; however, the Iranian national could not fit the Isfahan-based team's arrangements.
