Galatasaray inks three-year deal with Mancini

Ankara, Oct 1 (IANS): Turkish giants Galatasaray have signed a three-year contract with the former Inter and Manchester City coach Roberto Mancini.

Mancini, 48, has been out of work since being dismissed as City manager in May, after a three-and-a-half-year reign at the Etihad Stadium that included a Premier League title success in 2012 and a 2011 FA Cup victory.

Galatasaray, who made a disappointing start to the season with only seven points from five league games, broke away with former coach Fatih Terim last month.

Galatasaray's Tugay Kerimoglu will act as Mancini's assistant, the club announced Tuesday.
