Panaji, Mar 1: Goa police are in touch with US, UK and Israeli authorities to nail down international criminals involved in drug trade in the state.

"Talks are on with the narcotics bureau of India who are in touch with various countries from where the drug trade to Goa is traced,'' stated director general of police Neeraj Kumar.

The recent drug hauls in the state have confirmed involvement of international drug peddlers in the state especially Germans and Israelis.

Locally produce Charas is trafficked in this tourist state from Kullu Manali in Himachal Pradesh while other forms of acid like Ecstacy, LSD are traced to other countries. ``They use every possible way to bring it in the state,"
stated Neeraj Kumar.

Goa police are not able to assess exact amount of drug trade but according to DGP,"Foreigners are involved in both consuming and paddling drugs in the state."

The state police have also launched a drive to deport "undesirable aliens in the state". "The foreigners overstaying on their visa, violating visa conditions and involved in the criminal activities are sent back to their
