Shaun Marsh withdraws from CLT20

Melbourne, Sep 17 (IANS): Australian top order batsman Shaun Marsh will miss the Champions League Twenty20 due to a hamstring injury he picked from their one-day series against England, which concluded Monday.

The Perth Scorchers' cricketer has withdrawn from the CLT20 and will return to Australia Tuesday after sustaining a right hamstring strain.

“Shaun sustained a right hamstring muscle strain in the fourth one-day in Cardiff and today had an MRI scan which confirmed the diagnosis. Shaun will now return home to Perth tomorrow for further treatment," Cricket Australia (CA) team doctor Peter Brukner said Tuesday.
