Udupi, Feb 18: A speeding mini lorry knocked down a scooterist at Kotnakatte near Hiriadka here on Friday February 17 evening.
The deceased has been identified as Prasanna Shetty (35), the lorry driver of Manasa Exports. A lorry driven by one Somnath rammed into Prasanna's scooter near Hiriadka petrol pump on Friday evening. As a result scooterist fell on the road and died on the spot.
On the other hand, the lorry to turned turtle owing to which the lorry driver and cleaner too have been injured.
Now a complaint has been filed in the Hiriadka police station in this regard.
