Mangalore, Feb 18: As a mark of respect for the founding fathers of the Bank, the Mangalore-based Karnataka Bank Limited observes its Founders' Day every year.

The  bank which took birth on February 18, 1924 will hold its Founders' Day function on Saturday, February 18 at 5 pm in the bank's auditiorium in the head office building near Mahaveer Circle, Kankanady in the city.

The function will feature a lecture and a musical concert.

The Founders' Day Lecture will be delivered by Dr K R S Murthy (chairman, Board for IT Education Standards and former Director, IIM, Bangalore).

This will be followed by a Mandolin concert by Mandolin maestro Padmashri U Shrinivas.

Bank chairman Ananthakrishna will preside over the function.

Invitation is open to all well-wishers of the Bank.
