Mangalore, Feb 16: A case has been registered at the Kadri police station, regarding an incident of vandalism at the Lions Club hall at Mallikatta here on Tuesday February 14. The case was filed by Lion Sadashiva Kini.
The final year students of Laxmi Memorial Physiotherapy College were having a ‘send off’ programme at 8 pm on Tuesday at the hall, when nearly 15 persons entered the hall and assaulted some students presuming that it was a Valentine Day celebration. They also threw stones at a car parked outside the hall and threatened that they would take action if programmes of such kind are held in future.
A loss of Rs 10,000 has been estimated owing to the attack.
