Dear Sir/Ma'am, Greetings !!! I hope this message finds you well. My name is Satish Malani, father of Radhika Vivek Chandak, and I am writing to you not just as a concerned grandfather but as someone seeking a lifeline for daughter's child. My 15-month-old grandson, Layam Chandak, has been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 2, a rare and life-threatening neuromuscular disorder. Without timely treatment, the disease will progressively rob him of the ability to move, eat, and eventually breathe. My daughter's family is based in Pune India, and this news has turned our world upside down. The only treatment that offers hope is the one-time gene therapy Zolgensma, which can stop the progression of the disease and give Layam a chance at life. However, the treatment costs a staggering ₹ 9 Crores (approximately USD 90 million)—an amount far beyond our financial means. We have launched a verified fundraising campaign through ImpactGuru and are doing everything we can to reach people around the world to help us save Layam: 🔗 https://www.impactguru.com/fundraiser/help-layam-chandak We are humbly requesting financial assistance, guidance, or amplification of our campaign through your foundation’s networks. Even the smallest contribution or a share on your social media pages can go a long way in helping us get closer to the goal. We would be deeply grateful if you could consider: Ø Direct financial support through CSR, if possible Ø Sharing our campaign through your platforms or newsletters Ø Connecting us with other resources, donors, or NGOs that can help We are more than willing to provide: Copies of Layam’s medical reports and diagnosis Any other additional information you may require to support or validate our request. We’re in a race against time, and we’re trying everything we can to save our baby’s life. Your support could be life-changing—not just for Layam, but for all of us who love him dearly. Warm regards, Satish Malani
