Thursday, 23rd February, 2006, will be a red letter day in the annals of Konkani history in Bahrain when “DABAZO 2006” will be performed vibrantly on stage at the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium, Sacred Heart Church, Bahrain, from 8.00 p.m.

Seven famous artistes now based in Kuwait with a wealth of sing-song Konkani talent will ring the air with melodious music along with Konkani compere maestro EDDIE SEQUEIRA based in Qatar, all hailing from the Konkan heartland, will arrive Bahrain to perform live on stage the “DABAZO-2006”. They promise an unforgettable nostalgic performance to enthrall all Konkani enthusiasts to the core.
The main folk singers, are the indomitable:
RONY D’CUNHA, GRATIAN D’SOUZA, RITA RODRIGUES, LOLITA RODRIGUES, LANCY RODRIGUES, MELWYN and JOHN MISQUITH. All of them are kingpins of the Konkani stage and a perfect blend of tradition and folklore. The folk dances are being choreographed by veteran choreographers from the Konkani heartland.
