Shirva, Feb 13: Every year the people of Shirva celebrate the feast of Our lady of Lourdes on February 11.
This year too it was celebrated by them with devotion. Mass was offered in the 'Irmiz' chapel at the town and a candle procesion was taken out to the main church grotto.
About 1,500 devotees took part in the procession singing hymns and with lit candles in their hands.
Upon reaching the grotto, the word of God was preached and benediction given by DBLCC director Fr Ronald Serrao.
The function came to an end with a vote of thanks by parish priest Fr Valerian Pinto.
