Mangalore, Feb 11: Young and mercurial photojournalist and Daijiworld's official photographer Dayanand Kukkaje has been elected president of Manjunath Friends' Circle (R), a cultural organization based at Kadri Hills here.
Daya, as he is fondly known to everyone, will lead the cultural body for the year 2006-07. The election was held recently at the annual general body meeting of the organization.

Edward D'Souza was elected chairman of the publicity committee.
