Mangalore, Feb 6:: Christmas 2005 is a thing of the past, but the goodwill shown by people will live forever. With a gesture of concern for the orphaned, aged and the destitute, the All India Catholic University Federation (AICUF) unit of St Aloysius College donated a sum of Rs 10,000 collected from its ‘Christmas on Wheels’ programme to Seon Ashram situated at Gandibagilu near Beltangady.

The over 40-year-old AICUF unit spearheaded by III B Com students Neil D’Souza as its president travelled round the city on December 27 and 28, 2005 spreading the message of Christmas. The unit comprising of around 30 Aicufers performed 12 shows in the city and around.

Adding an element of social concern to this annual programme, the aicufers collected funds from the public at shows, which amounted to Rs 10,000. The contribution was handed over to the director of Seon Ashram U C Paulose recently at St Aloysius College.

The AICUF unit has been organizing Christmas on Wheels annually since 2000.
