Mumbai, Aug 17: The Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited that bagged top bank award by Brahanmumbai Nagari Sahakari banks Association Limited recently opened their fifty-fourth branch at Gold Plaza, Dharavi – Bandra – Sion junction here on Friday August 16.

Bharat Bank former chairman Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated the fifty-fourth branch at Dharavi – Kurla here on Friday morning.

Vastu puja, Ganahoma, Satyanarayana puja were performed by Dinesh Shanti led by Dhananjay S Kotian.  Sadashiv D Kotian and Sumati S Kotian couple partaken in puja celebrations.

The Bank deputy chairperson advocate Rohini J Salian inaugurated ATM kiosk and safe deposit locker facilities.

Bombay Bunts Association president advocate Ratnakar V Shetty, entrepreneur P Dhananjay Shetty, Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh – Maharashtra president Chandrashekar palettady, Ajanta Caterers proprietor Jayaram Shetty inaugurated the banking facilities.

The Bank  MD and CEO C R Mulky, directors M B Kukyan, L V Amin, Jyoti K suvarna, M B Sanil, Y Nagesh, Mohan G poojary, Chandrashekar S Poojary, Shankar D Poojary, N Nityanand, Bhaskar M Salian were present.

The Bank chief general manager Anil Kumar R Amin, general manager Professor Shekar Poojary, deputy general manager Vivek Shanbagh, Raghu Poojary, Shobha Dayanand, assistant general manager Prabhakar G Suvarna, Navinchandra S Bangera, Ramesh Poojary, Vasudev M Salian, Mohandas Hejmady, Dinesh B Sanil, Vidhyanand S Karkera, Vishwanat G Suvarna, top bank officers, insurance advisor Shivaram Poojary, development department chief Sunil Gujaran, Sudhir Suvarna, Vijay Palan and others were present.

The new branch manager Kalavati Bolar welcomed the gathering.  Assistant manager Naresh T Amin proposed vote of thanks.  The deputy general manager Nityanand D Kotian compered the programme.

Nearly 1,500 new accounts were opened in the new branch on this auspicious occasion and collected deposit of over Rs 15 crore in a single day.

The Bank bagged top bank award, for its distinct banking service and customer care by securing deposit of over 1,500 crore during the financial year 2012.  The Bank is surging ahead for rapid growth in the ever competitive banking sector in the country.
