Mumbai, Feb 2: Security has been provided to Public Prosecutor Ramanath Kiny, representing the state in suspended police officer Daya Nayak's anticipatory bail case, after he received threats calls recently.
Kiny told reporters in Mumbai on Wednesday that he received a call from unidentified man on January 27, asking him not to continue with the Daya Nayak case.

Kiny said he also spotted some persons lurking near his Khar residence in a suspicious manner and informed the crime branch which is now providing him security.

Encounter specialist police sub inspector Daya Nayak, suspended last week, has filed anticipatory bail application in the sessions court here, as the Anti Corruption Bureau has registered a case against him for possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Kiny has finished his reply on behalf of ACB, opposing Nayak's plea, and the court will be giving decision on Thursday.
