Mangalore Feb 1: Opposing privatization of the Mumbai and New Delhi airport, a section of the staff of the Mangalore airport went on a protest demonstration at the airport on Wednesday. However, all airport operations were unaffected.

The protestors comprising primarily the administrative staff and the fire station staff called for a demonstration from 9.30 am before the airport building. With the AAI staff on strike, all the airport operations were handled successfully with the air traffic control personnel and the communication, navigation and surveillance personnel.

Reliable sources revealed to Daijiworld that the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was deployed to ensure unhindered operations at the airport till 3.30 pm.
