Udupi, Feb 1: "We have offered special prayers at Krishna Math, Stella Maris Church Kalmady and Jamiya Masjid so that Deve Gowda changes his mind and lends his support to the new JD (S) -BJP coalition government which will come to power on Friday February 3," said district JD (S) president Deviprasad Shetty.

He was speaking at a press conference at Badagu Malige of Krishna Math here on Wednesday February 1 morning.  He further said that Deve Gowda withdrawing himself from the post of JD (S) national president is indeed a big setback to the entire party.  "So we have offered prayers so that he changes his mind and supports his son and the party," he said.

JD (S) leaders Louis Lobo, Geetanjali Suvarna, Sheikh Ibrahim, Iqbal Ahmad, Tangappa, Nagraj Bhat and others were also present at the press conference.
