Dr. Lalitha Rao, a most kind hearted lady, was also a highly learned music lover and an accomplished flutist of Pt. Pannalal Ghosh Gharana, having received lessons from Pannababujee's disciple Pt. Haripada Chaudhary.

She also was an enthusiastic member and Vice-Chairman of the "Pannalal Ghosh Memorial Committee" the committee which conducted a large number of musical programmes for furthering the memories of the great and pioneer flute maestro of India, Pt. Pannalal Ghosh.

A few years ago when myself, Pt. Vijay Kabinittal, Pt. Ravindra Samant and Pt. V.G. Karnad visited her to offer our best wishes to keep well, she said that "I have now taken Jeevan-Nivrutti...... Long ago I had got made a painting of Pannababujee from the renown painter Shri. Shantaram R. Badakere and wish to give it to somebody who may preserve it well. On this, I gathered some courage to humbly asked her "I am working to collect all possible information about Pannababujee. So, will you please give it to me ?" She happily agreed to my request and then I brought this gift from her, a historical archive, to my home.
I have wall-mounted this painting of Pannababujee in my study room. Just write me an email to me if you wish to receive its soft copy.

I pray for her soul to rest in peace in the heaven.
