Mangalore, Jan 27: Mohammad (32), a resident of Asaigoli near Konaje here who had been severely injured in the Tata Sumo - bus collision at Matha on the National Highway 48 near Uppinangady in Puttur, succumbed to the injuries in a private hospital here on Thursday January 26.

With his death, the number of causalities in the accident has gone upto 3.  Earlier, the Tata Sumo driver Shanmugam had died on the spot on January 22 while Moosakunji, who had been injured seriously had died in the hospital, a day later.  Now seven other injured are being treated in two hospitals here.

As reported earlier, a bus had collided with a Tata Sumo vehicle at Matha on January 22 in which one had died on the spot while several others had been injured. 

Uppinangady police have registered a case in this regard.
