Isner wins Atlanta Open

Washington, Jul 29 (IANS): John Isner took two hours and 54 minutes to edge out Kevin Anderson 6-7(3), 7-6(2), 7-6(2) to win the Atlanta Open tennis tournament.

Top seed Isner has played a total of seven tiebreakers in his four Atlanta matches, reports Xinhua.

"This is a tournament where I could have been out in my first match. I lived on the edge all week, and seemed to come through for the good every time," Isner said after the victory Sunday.

Isner lost in the 2010 and 2011 Atlanta finals.
