Hubli, Jan. 23: "There is no going back from the stand taken with BJP,' reiterated JD(S) Working President H.D. Kumaraswamy here today.

Talking to newsmen here this morning on his way to Hyderabad, Kumaraswamy said that he was not aware of his father holding talks with Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi on Jan.25.

"Though I am going to Hyderabad, I will not be meeting Ms. Gandhi or any other Congress leader," he quipped a questioner.

To another question, he said that even if his father held talks with Ms. Gandhi there would not be any change in his stand on forming the Government with the support of BJP.

While Kumaraswamy, accompanied by Ministers Chaluvarayaswamy and Amaregowda Bayyapura, went to Hyderabad, the other JD(S) MLAs supporting him are relaxing in Goa.

MLAs Surprised

MLAs at the five-star resort at Canacona, Goa, who had claimed that Kumaraswamy left Goa for Bangalore this morning, were surprised when it was brought to their notice that he was on his way to Hyderabad.

Talking to Star of Mysore over phone this afternoon, MLC K.T. Srikantegowda said that Kumaraswamy had told them that he was leaving for Bangalore to hold talks with BJP leaders like Jagadish Shettar and B.S. Yediyurappa.

"It is a news for us too that Kumaraswamy is on his way to Hyderabad," Srikantegowda remarked.

Earlier in the day Srikantegowda had told Star of Mysore that Kumaraswamy left for Panaji at 6 O' clock by road accompanied by Ministers N. Cheluvaraya Swamy and Amaregowda Bayyapura.

Our Bangalore Correspondent had reported that Kumaraswamy and his two colleagues left Panaji for Bangalore by 10.15 flight.

"Kumaraswamy will be returning to the resort tomorrow morning", Srikantegowda had said.

Asked whether Kumaraswamy would meet his father and JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda, Srikantegowda retorted: "Why not? What is wrong in it? There is nothing special in a son meeting his father".

Srikantegowda also said that many MLAs strongly opposed Kumaraswamy's Bangalore trip as it could be risky. They urged him not to visit Bangalore till Chief Minister N. Dharam Singh resigns.

However, Kumaraswamy convinced them that he would not change his stand and they need not worry.
