Sharjah, Jan 22: Ganesh Rai, a noted community leader from Sharjah has been Re-elected as the president of Sharjah Karnataka Sangha 2006-2007, while Sathish Poojari, another respected Kannadiga has been elected Gen. secretary.

Other office bearers of the executive committee are Prabhakara Ambalakere - vice president, Anand Bailoor - joint secretary, Yadav Kotiyan - treasurer, Noel D'Almeida - sports secretary, Ramananda Belapu - entertainment secretary, Jeevan V Kukkiyan, Shantharam Achar , Prabhakar Shenoy, Sujay Kumar, Giridhar Nayak,  Francis D'Souza, Sugandharaj Bekal, , Vasant, Vishwanath Bekal – executive committee members.

The executive committee hopes to revive the association and chalk-out various projects towards the benefit of Kannadigas.
