Puttur, Jan 19: The silver jubilee celebrations of Bethany Institutions at Nujibaltila near Kadaba here were inaugurated on Wednesday January 18.  The celebrations were inaugurated in Bethany Pre-University College at Nujibaltila on Wednesday.

Speaking exclusively to Daijiworld, O M Yohanan of Bethany Pre-University College, said that the Bethany Pre- University College is run by Bethany Fathers.  The congregation runs a high school and pre-university college at Nujibaltila. On Wednesday, the institution had organized a meet of the senior students, which was inaugurated by Jayaprakash Shetty, an alumni of Bethany Institutions.  The programme was presided over by Mamacchan M, president of Senior Students Association.

 Sesamma (former national-level athlete), Philiph Nellivila, Fr Jose Valakuzhy and correspondent Fr Kuttial too spoke on the occasion.

Secretary of the Senior Students Association M C Thomas welcomed the gathering, while joint secretary Priya Mathew presented the report.  Vice president Satyanarayan proposed the vote of thanks.  Joseph T J compered the programme.

The valedictory ceremony of the senior students gathering was held on Wednesday evening and was presided over by Fr Vargese Kaipanadka.

The three-day silver jubilee celebrations also include a science exhibition, parents gathering etc.  Parents gathering was held on Thursday January 19 morning.
