St. Petersburg, Jul 3 (IANS): Veteran Ukrainian midfielder Anatoly Tymoshchuk passed the medical examination Wednesday for his new club Zenit St. Petersburg.

The 34-year-old, who played 100 games for Zenit before being transferred to Bayern Munich, returned to St. Petersburg as a free agent Monday, where he is expected to end his distinguished career, reports Xinhua.

Tymoshchuk is joined by fellow veteran Andrei Arshavin, who also officially returned to Zenit colours Tuesday after a stint with English club Arsenal. Tymoshchuk and Arshavin may feature as early as July 6 for Zenit against Shakhtar.
