Nuremberg's Timm Klose moves to Wolfsburg

Berlin, Jul 2 (IANS): Swiss international Timm Klose has moved from Nuremberg to join league rivals Wolfsburg until 2017.

Klose joined Wolfsburg with immediate effect following a medical to put pen to paper on a four-year contract Monday, reports Xinhua.

"I am very pleased that Timm will strengthen our team. He showed good performances in recent years and he has all the makings of a central defender," Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking said.

The 25-year-old central defender has scored two goals in 45 appearances for Nuremberg since 2011. Moreover, he made six caps for the "Schweizer Nati", the Swiss national football team.

"The transfer to Wolfsburg is an important step in my career. I am looking forward to this challenge and I will do everything to be triumphant with the team," Klose said.

The "Wolves" finished the last campaign in 11th place with 43 points, unable to participate in Europe.
