Belarus win three medals at European junior pentathlon


Minsk, Jun 26 (IANS): Belarusian athletes have won three medals at the Modern Pentathlon Junior European Championships that took place in Bulgaria's capital Sofia.

Ekaterina Oryol won the European champion title after clinching 5,472 points and the first place in the women's finals Tuesday, reports Xinhua.

The Belarusian national team (Ekaterina Oryol, Margarita Maseikova and Tatiana Rogachyova) took the third place with 15,520 points and earned the team bronze.

Ekaterina Oryol, Margarita Maseikova and Tatiana Rogachyova have also won bronze medal in the women's team-relay event. The number of points they picked up in the fencing, swimming, riding and combined events totalled 5,280.
