Hockey India donates Rs.10 lakh for flood victims


New Delhi, Jun 25 (IANS): Hockey India (HI) Tuesday contributed Rs.10 lakh to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to do its bit for the flood victims of Uttarakhand.

“Hockey India conveys its deepest concerns for the affected people of the Uttarakhand tragedy and being a national sports body we feel our duty to contribute in the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. It’s a small gesture to help the state during this calamity,” HI secretary general Narinder Batra said.
