Karkala, Jan 15: The mysterious missing case of 27 year old Praveen of Idu village was cracked when his body was unearthed 500 metres away from his house on Saturday.
With this development, the murder of Praveen by his own brother Jayarama came to light. On the trail of a tip-off, the police took Jayarama into custody for interrogation where he admitted the crime.
Five months back, one night when there was a rift between the brothers, Jayamarma, in a fit of anger slit the throat of his younger brother. Praveen who died instantly was buried in the farm behind the pump house.
On Saturday, based on the information given by Jayamarma, the rotten body of Praveen was unearthed in the presence of tashildar Vasudesh Tannirbhavi, Dy SP Parameshwarappa and circle inspector Thimmaiah.
