Bangalore, Jan 12: The Bangalore station Akashvani has introduced a new facility to its listeners from Wednesday January 11 morning. Accordingly, the listeners can avail AIR news on telephone hereafter. Director-General Brijeshwar Singh announced this in a press conference marking the 50 years of AIR station in the city.
Listeners in city, who wish to avail the news in Kannada, can dial 1258 on their landline. Those who wish to listen to English news may dial 1259. Only news in brief will be available. Persons calling from other districts are required to add the STD code 080 or 95 to the above numbers.
News can also be accessed through mobile telephones 080-22377525 for Kannada and 080-22377530 for English. at a time 30 callers can avail the news. News in English can be heard once every thirty minutes.
