Mangalore, Jan 12: The city's renowned kite-flying group 'Team Mangalore' has received an invitation to take part in the prestigious International Kite Festival to be held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on the occasion of Makara Sankranti. The festival is annual event held there.

The festival which will be held on January 13, 14 and 15, 2006 will feature 150 participants from 60 countries. Since the annual event is internationally recognized, Team Mangalore could reach international levels by  taking part in these high-ranking events.

The six-member team led by Sarvesh Rao has already landed in Ahmedabad and it enjoys the credit of being the sole team from Karnataka taking part in the international event.
