Mumbai, Jun 12: The metro-based Kalajagattu, arts troupe recently celebrated its thirty-fourth anniversary by presenting Kalotsava – 2013, cultural extravaganza, at Radhabai T Bhandary auditorium, Bunts Bhavan, Kurla (East) here.
The programme began with Satyanarayan Puja. Vidwan Arvind Bannintaya performed the Vedic celebrations at the premises of Mahavishnu Ganapati Mandir, Bunts Sangh, and distributed Prasadam to the gathering.P Dhananjay and Sunanda Shetty couple, Shekar Mulund and Jayanti couple were present during Puja celebrations.
Kalajagattu chairman Surendra Kumar Hegde offered motion for Kalotsava – 2013. Ee Bale Nammavu, Tulu play directed by Karnataka Rajyotsav Awardee Tonse Vijayakumar Shetty was staged by the arts troupe of Kalajagattu at the occasion.
Mahila Utsav was held leadership of Sumangala G Shetty, presided by Vinodini Surendrakumar Hegde. Harini M Shetty and Susheela Devadiga compered the programme.
Kode Ancha Ini Incha, Tulu play directed by Reshma Shetty was staged at the occasion.
Yuvajanotsav and Nrutyotsav was presented by Chetan, Megha, Latesh, Veena, Vaishnavi, Alok, Pratvi, Krutika, Darshan, Vishant, Divya, Srilata and others on Saturday evening.
Moksha, Tulu play was staged by Amma Chavadi, drama troupe.
A musical extravaganza was staged by the music troupe of Kalajagattu Sarigamapadani, directed by Satish Suratkal and compered by Pushkal Kumar Tonse. Shailaja A Shetty, Harish Shetty and Jayanand Shetty organized this programme.
Abu Dhabi Bunts Sangh president Sarvottam Shetty, Muscat Buntara Koota president Sasidar Shetty Mallal, Sudhakar Rao Udupi, Kalajagattu arts troupe promoters Prabhakar Shetty and Prakash Shetty, vice presidents Laxman G Kanchan and Jagdish Rao, honorary secretaries Krishnaraj Shetty and Chandravati Devadiga, treasurer Raghuveer Bhat, reception Committee chairman Kishore Shetty Kutyar, joint secretary N Pratviraj, joint treasurer Ashok Shetty, Lawrence D’Souza Kemmannu, lawyer R G Shetty and others were present at the occasion.
