Kushal Suvarna bags silver medal in eco Olympiad

Mumbai, Jun 5: Kushal Suvarna, hailing from Udupi, bagged the silver medal in the ‘International Sustainable World Energy Engineering Environment Project (I-SWEEP) Olympiad 2013’ held in Houston, Texas, recently.

Kushal invented a preservative to keep fruits and vegetables from rotting by using saga seed oil.

The youngster is studying in class 10 in Modern English School, Chembur.

Kushal is the proud son of Sathish Suvarna and Veena Suvarna, who hail from Udyavar of Udupi district. Veena is employed with Voltas Limited, while Sathish is with Mazagon Dock, Mumbai.
