DPR Koreans win mixed doubles at table tennis worlds


Paris, May 19 (IANS): DPR Korea's Kim Hyok Bong and Kim Jong claimed the mixed doubles title at the World Table Tennis Championships here.

This is the first individual title at the world championships that was won by a non-Chinese player or pair since it was last held here 10 years ago. China has cleans wept all titles since, reports Xinhua.

The two Kims defeated Lee Sangsu and Park Yongsook of South Korea in the final 11-6, 11-8, 11-3, 6-11, 8-11, 11-7 Saturday.
