Candidate shot dead in Pakistan


Islamabad, May 3 (IANS): Awami National Party (ANP) candidate Sadiq Zaman Khattak and his six-year-old son were shot dead in Karachi Friday, a media report said.

Gunmen riding motorcycles opened fire on Khattak outside a mosque in Bilal Colony area, killing Khatak and his son and injuring five.

Khattak was the ANP candidate for NA-254, reported Geo News.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced that the election for NA-254 (Karachi-16) has been postponed.
