TV no more a small screen, says Riteish

Mumbai, Apr 25 (IANS): Following the footsteps of Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, actor-turned-producer Riteish Deshmukh makes his debut on TV as a judge with dance reality show, "India's Dancing Superstar". He says television's reach has become so wide that no longer it is "small".

"It's wrong to call TV small screen. Around the globe, TV is the biggest screen. We always relate big-screen with films, but it matters only in terms of the size and not its reach," he told reporters at the launch of the show Tuesday.

The 34-year-old will co-judge the show, going on air Saturday, with choreographers Geeta Kapur and Ashley Lobo.

Riteish, who turned producer with Marathi film "Balak Palak", will next be seen on celluloid in "Grand Masti".
