Injured McCullum to miss IPL opener


Kolkata, April 1 (IANS): New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum will be unavailable for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League opener against Delhi Daredevils here Monday.

The dashing wicketkeeper-batsman is nursing a hamstring injury.

He is yet to join the squad, said a KKR source.

McCullum, who holds the record for the highest score (158) in the IPL, is already scheduled to have a truncated stint with in the IPL this season, as he is to lead New Zealand on their England trip.
