All set for the kill on final day: Indian team

Mohali, Mar 18 (IANS): With just seven wickets standing between them and a third consecutive victory in the Test match series against Australia, an upbeat India are all set for a kill Monday, the final day of the match at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) stadium here.

Indian opener Murli Vijay, who scored 153 runs for his side, said Sunday that it would be difficult for Australia to bat out the entire (fifth) day in the Mohali Test.

"We are in a pretty good position at the moment. Considering the wicket and everything, there is nothing to be worried about," he told reporters at the end of play on the fourth day.

"The wicket is getting slower and lower. It will be difficult for them tomorrow," Murli Vijay said.

The Australians were trailing India by 16 runs and have lost three wickets for 75 runs in the second innings.

Australia were bowled out for 408 runs in their first innings Saturday. The Indian side scored 499 runs Sunday afternoon, with debutant-opener Shikhar Dhawan and opener Vijay scoring 187 and 153 runs respectively.

Australia trail the series 0-2, having lost the first two Test matches in Chennai and Hyderabad.
